How to care for a washable tablecloth

Simple care helps a tablecloth keep its color, shape, and finish. Always check the care information supplied with the specific item before washing.

Blot liquid promptly with a clean cloth. Lift food from the surface rather than rubbing it deeper into the fabric. Treat stains before they dry whenever possible.

Washing

Use the care label as the final authority. In general, choose a gentle cycle with cool or cold water and a mild detergent. Wash similar colors together and avoid bleach unless the product instructions specifically allow it.

Drying and storage

Air dry or use the lowest suitable heat setting. Remove the cloth promptly to reduce creasing. Fold it fully dry and store it in a clean, dry place.

Spread the cloth on the table while slightly damp, or use a low-heat iron on the reverse side after checking the care label. Do not apply high heat directly to printed areas.
